The House came Furnished

Perfect. 27 × 42. And that 42" length explains why it feels so gloriously enormous on the model.

Here’s the clean one-and-done version:

THE HOUSE CAME FURNISHED

It looked respectable from the road.

White curtains. Good linens. Elaborate embroidery. The sort of place where someone had spent an unreasonable number of hours making everything just so.

And then we found the 1970s.

This one-of-one Kimonoir began with a vintage white textile that very nearly went straight back into the donation pile. Instead, it became one of the strangest coats in the collection: oversized, gloriously textured, and covered in beautiful whitework, crochet-style inserts, embroidered scrolls and tiny floral details.

Then we added the brown-and-cream geometric vintage textile.

On purpose.

It flashes from inside the front, sneaks into the oversized pockets and — most importantly — forms a row of completely unnecessary pointed dragon teeth along the hem.

Because sometimes the house comes furnished and you keep the weird stuff.

Details: One-of-one Kimonoir coat made from reclaimed vintage home textiles. Dramatically oversized through the shoulders, body and sleeves, with a straighter fit through the lower hip. Two oversized patch pockets. Contrasting vintage geometric textile at the pockets, front interior and pointed hem.

Measurements: approximately 27" wide laid flat × 42" long.

Fit: Intentionally very oversized through the upper body. Because the silhouette is straighter through the hip, please use the garment measurements rather than conventional sizing to determine your preferred fit.
