The GOOD Beans

From an era when breakfast cereal contained enough artificial dye to stain the bowl, the Quaker Oats man dispensed nutritional wisdom, and the Campbell’s Soup Kids were somehow thriving on  suspiciously high levels of sodium and optimism. And no one questioned a thing. 

This gloriously chaotic vintage quilt came to us already softened, worn and beautifully frayed at the seams.

Normally, we’d finish those edges with new bias tape.

But look at them.

Covering up decades of perfectly earned textile disobedience felt like sacrilege, so the original frayed edges have been intentionally left exposed. They shouldn’t compromise durability — they’re simply part of the quilt’s history, and we thought they deserved to stay.

And then there are The Good Beans.

The vintage grocery-print pockets were found on a thrifting pilgrimage through the Carolinas and squirreled away waiting for exactly the right home. Beans. Ketchup. Crackers. Questionable nutritional choices. Magnificent old packaging.

Apparently, this was what they were waiting for.

Oversized, easy, ridiculously comfortable and completely one of one.

Made from reclaimed vintage home textiles. Machine washable.
