This is the quieter sister of Saints, Sinners & Stardust.
Both began with the remnants of the same antique, hand-stitched church tapestry — an extraordinary Celtic knot worked in olive, cream and brown.
There was no pattern laid over it. No convenient cutting to make it behave.
I worked around the embroidery instead.
Because somebody made those stitches by hand, long before this textile ever found me, and I couldn't bear to waste a single one.
In the end, the tapestry became three completely different Kimonoir pieces.
Saints, Sinners & Stardust became the icon.
The second was chosen by someone who had pledged to buy only ten pieces of clothing in all of 2026.
It was one of the ten. That's the type of reverence these stitches deserve.
And this is the third.
The final mirrored sections of knotwork found their way onto an impossibly soft vintage quilt, where the olive, cream and brown somehow look as though they had been waiting for each other all along. Even those wonderfully odd little pockets just… worked.
Three garments.
One old church tapestry.
Every single stitch.
