Nobody bought it.
We could have taken the hint.
We did not.
Instead, for the seventh, we consulted the cards.
The Sun.
Because sometimes a piece isn't wrong. It simply hasn't finished becoming itself yet.
The original coat began with an extraordinary vintage 1970s bedspread in dusky teal — soft, quilted and luminous, with a warm copper-rose lining that flashes at the cuffs and moves beautifully when worn.
It was lovely.
Apparently lovely wasn't enough.
So after yet another journey home on the rack, we went back to the studio and gave it something to say.
The oversized Sun tarot panel now fills the back in faded copper, teal, orange and black: radiant, optimistic and perhaps slightly smug about having known all along that its moment would come.
Which feels appropriate.
The Sun is traditionally associated with joy, confidence, vitality and success.
Frankly, after four booths and two boutiques, we'll take all the help we can get.
Oversized, ridiculously soft and easy to throw over jeans, a dress, pyjamas or whatever you happened to be wearing when the universe finally got its shit together.
Made from reclaimed vintage home textiles. One of one. Machine washable.
